What was the most memorable part of your university experience?

The most memorable part of my university experience would the exam periods! In the exam periods there is a great atmosphere present in the campus where students are all working hard in the library and by working together. Although sometimes they can be stressful but because of the great sense of community that is present in the business school students usually pull through and work together to support your learning where they openly share information to help the fellow students.

What skills did you gain from your degree which have been particularly helpful in your career?

One of the most important skills taught at the business school is learning to work effectively within a team setting. With the majority of the modules I had the opportunity to undertake group coursework where you would work with students from different backgrounds which individually bring a great new perspective into the project. This aspect really helped me in my career where I was able to contribute to projects and work with a great spectrum of people whom each individually contribute a skill to the achieve the aim.

What advice would you give students who are thinking of studying here?

The advice that I would give to new students of the business school is to make the most of their time in the university by taking part in as many as activities, guest lectures, career fairs and societies as possible.

Although, the main reason you are there is to earn your degree but all the other activities would be very beneficial when it comes to your career from becoming more commercially aware with the help of company events or by growing your professional as a part of a society. Specifically, in the business school there are many societies which are closely linked to top financial firms and they can help you meet and learn from their employees.
