What were you doing before you came to study at City?

I took a gap year to learn more about Biblical history. This enabled me to gain a real insight into critical analysis and provided me with skills that continue to help me at university today.

Why did you decide to apply to study at City, University of London?

My main drivers were the brilliant location and City’s exceptional reputation. City also provides excellent resources and has a Careers Service which helps students to create a CV and LinkedIn account, when looking for internships and jobs.

What is your favourite thing about studying at City?

My favourite thing is the care and effort lecturers take upon themselves to help each student. I also enjoy lectures as they are very interesting, interactive and engaging.

What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?

I like to play football and music. As City is very multicultural, I can meet people from different countries and am able to learn about different cultures and religions.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

I would like to work in either investment banking or the property sectors. The degree in Business with Finance has given me the opportunity to enter many different sectors within the business and finance industries.

What would be your top tip for our applicants?

Do something you love and enjoy. City provides options for a variety of degrees, with each degree being taught by top end lecturers. Always try your best and reach out for your dreams. Do not be afraid to try something new.
