UK and other qualifications

'A' Level

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Business Management courses: AAA
  • BSc Actuarial Science: A* (Mathematics) AA (or A* in Mathematics, AB with a relevant EPQ)
  • All other degrees: AAA (or AAB with a relevant EPQ).

Welsh Baccalaureate

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Accounting and Finance: Pass the Core of the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate plus grades AA at A Level, GCSE maths grade A and GCSE English grade C.
  • BSc Actuarial Science: Pass the Core of the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate plus grades A*A at A Level (A* in Maths) and GCSE English grade C.
  • All other degrees: Pass the Core of the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate plus grades AA at A Level, GCSE maths grade A and GCSE English grade C.

International Baccalaureate

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Accounting and Finance: 35 points overall with 5 minimum in each subject
  • BSc Actuarial Science: 35 points overall, 6 Higher Level Mathematics, 5 minimum all other subjects
  • All other degrees: 35 points overall with 5 minimum in each subject

BTEC

Qualification: BTEC Level 3 (18 unit) Diploma/Extended Diploma (Business related subjects)

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Accounting and Finance: DDD plus GCSE maths grade A and GCSE English grade C
  • BSc Actuarial Science: DDD plus A Level Maths grade A* and GCSE English grade C.
  • All other degrees: DDD plus GCSE maths grade A and GCSE English grade C.

Access

Qualification: Access to Higher Education (Business related courses)

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Accounting and Finance: Pass the Access course with 45 Level 3 credits including 30 distinctions and 15 Merits, plus GCSE Maths grade A and an English language qualification
  • BSc Actuarial Science: Pass the Access course with 45 Level 3 credits including 30 Distinctions and 15 Merits, plus A Level Maths grade A* and an English language qualification
  • All other degrees: Pass the Access course with 45 Level 3 credits including 30 Distinctions and 15 merits, plus GCSE maths grade B and an English language qualification

IFS Diploma in Financial Studies

Entry requirement:

All degrees (except BSc Actuarial Science): Accepted as an alternative to one GCE A Level subject.

A typical offer would be grade A in the IFS Diploma, plus AA at A Level

Cambridge International Level 3 Pre - U Certificate

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Accounting and Finance: D3, D3, D3, with GCSE Maths grade A, plus an English language qualification
  • BSc Actuarial Science: D2, D3, D3 (D2 in Maths), plus an English language qualification
  • All other degrees: D3, D3, D3, plus an English language qualification

European Baccalaureate

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Accounting and Finance: 80% Overall with 85% in Maths and 80% in English
  • BSc Actuarial Science: 85% Overall with 85% in Maths & 80% in English
  • All other degrees: 80% Overall with 80% in Maths & English

Scottish Highers

Entry requirement:

  • BSc Accounting and Finance: AAA at Advanced Higher plus AA at Higher (must include Maths grade A if taken at Higher and not Advanced level, and English at either level)
  • BSc Actuarial Science: AAA at Advanced Higher (must include Maths at Advanced Higher) plus AA at Higher (must include English at either level)
  • All other degrees: AAA at Advanced Higher plus AA at Higher (must include Maths and English at either level)
