Everyone's experience of the Bayes Business School MBA is different but we make sure that there are plenty of opportunities to integrate with students across all programmes, our alumni network as well as faculty and working professionals.

Societies and clubs

Bayes business societies offer students the opportunity to develop employability skills and expand their network by organising events with industry experts, alumni and faculty. A list of clubs are available on our website.

Events at Bayes

Bayes run regular events which are open to students and prospective students. Recent guest speakers include Tom Blomfield (CEO of Monzo) and Mark Carney (Chairman of the Bank of England). You can register to attend events here.

If you have not already done so, you may also want to attend one of our MBA information sessions where you can meet the MBA staff, faculty and current students.

Bayes Alumni Network

Being a Bayes MBA will give you invaluable access to a global network of over 48,000+ alumni across 162 countries during and after your studies. The alumni team run many local and international events allowing you to tap into the network from day one. Once you graduate you can also attend one specialist MBA elective per year, free of charge. Student Discounts

Being a student will give you access to a wide range of discounts including travel, Microsoft and Apple products, cinema tickets, restaurants, cosmetics and clothing. Most discounts can be obtained via an NUS (National Union of Students) membership card or by joining the Unidays website.

Please note that you will first need to formally register as a student before taking advantage of these discounts.

Getting around

All Bayes locations are in central London at the gateway to one of the world's most dynamic financial and commercial centres. Our location is a physical expression of a fundamental belief - that business is both a practical and theoretical discipline.

We are perfectly positioned to be the intellectual hub of the City of London, which means contributing to and benefiting from the intellectual life of The City. We've forged links with everyone from the financial and multinational giants, to innovative start-ups. They provide direct input into our programmes, as well as sponsoring and employing many of our students and alumni.

Local attractions

Doing your MBA in London offers unrivaled networking opportunities and access to potential employers. In addition to banking / financial services, London is home to world-leading arts, fashion, creative media, government and legal sectors (75% of Fortune 500 companies have offices here).

Local attractions (within a short walk from Bayes Business School):

  • Located in the financial district, Bayes is also less than five minutes from the emerging “Tech City” based around the Old Street roundabout.
  • Shoreditch – Located next door to the financial district and spiritual home of London’s hipster community, Shoreditch has become famous for its independent shops, food stalls, art galleries, bars, night clubs and live music venues.
  • Museum of London - Documents the history of London from prehistoric to modern times. Next to the Bayes Business School Aldersgate campus.
  • Whitecross Street Market – a two-minute walk from our Bunhill Row campus, this street food market has over 30 stalls offering food from all over the world.
  • Barbican Centre - Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue presenting a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film and creative learning events. It is also home to the London Symphony Orchestra 
  • Spittalfields Market – An eclectic range of restaurants, bars, shops and stalls selling vintage clothes, records, jewellery, furniture and anything else you can think of. Spittalfields indoor market has been on this site for over 350 years.
  • St Paul’s Cathedral – Designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1673 after the Great Fire, St Pauls is one of London’s most iconic landmarks. Only 5 minute walk from our Aldersgate campus.
  • Islington Angel and Upper Street – Just a short walk from the City University main campus, Upper Street has one of the highest concentrations of restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs anywhere in Europe.
  • Regent’s Canal – Loved by boaters, walkers, joggers and cyclists, Regent’s Canal is one of London’s best kept secrets. The perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city – you can walk as far as Victoria Park, the Olympic stadium or Limehouse Marina on the River Thames
  • Brick Lane – As a hub of London’s Bangladeshi community, Brick Lane has long been famous for its authentic curry restaurants. It also has a reputation for art galleries, trendy clubs and bars.
