Modular Executive MBA
Welcome from Dr Alessandro Giudici,
Modular Executive MBA Course Director
Congratulations! I am proud that you have chosen the Modular Executive MBA Programme at Cass Business School, and I look forward to meeting you all in person.
You will embark upon a two year transformational journey — a thrilling, challenging, and individual voyage of academic learning, personal development, career progression or redirection or even business plans for a new venture. You will not, however, travel this journey alone. You will be joining a select group of talented and experienced individuals from different sectors, industries and geographic locations who will become your friends for life. You will also have access to the very experienced Course Office, seasoned Career Development professionals and, of course, excellent Faculty.
Networking
Part of the Cass Business School advantage is tapping into a global network of over 49,000 alumni. However, it is also a great time to reconnect with your own personal and professional networks. I strongly recommend that you let your co-workers, former employers, family and friends all know about the exciting next step you will be taking. Tell them about the programme and your plans for the year and lay the groundwork for your post-programme career.
Flexibility
Keep in mind that your Executive MBA journey will be unique. The focus on the first part of the programme is on the core modules which provides you with the fundamental knowledge of business and management. In the second year, you will have the opportunity to take electives, drilling deeper into the subjects that interest you most or challenging yourself with a broad range of electives. Start thinking about what will be best for you and your career. And whilst all this is happening, you will want to ensure you get the most value out of the extracurricular events, support networks for entrepreneurs or Careers events that are organised for you.
Pre-programme
Many of you will be wondering how to prepare for the programme. Although, there is no compulsory reading, my advice to students is to do recommend that you stay up to date with journals such as the Financial Times, Business Week and The Economist.
I look forward to meeting you all in March!
Best wishes,
Dr Alessandro Giudici, Modular Executive MBA Course Director,
