Welcome from Dr Paolo Aversa, Full-time MBA Course Director

Congratulations! I am proud that you have chosen the Full-Time MBA Programme at Cass Business School and I look forward to meeting you all in person.

You will embark upon a year-long transformational journey — a thrilling, challenging and individual voyage of academic learning, personal development, career progression or redirection, or even business plans for a new venture. You will not, however, travel this journey alone. You will be joining a select group of talented and experienced individuals from different sectors, industries and geographic locations who will become your friends for life. You will also have access to the very experienced Course Office, seasoned Career Development professionals and, of course, excellent Faculty.

Part of the Cass Business School advantage is tapping into a global network of over 48,000 alumni. However, it is also a great time to reconnect with your own personal and professional networks. I strongly recommend that you let your co-workers, former employers, family and friends all know about the exciting next step you will be taking. Tell them about the programme, your plans for the year and lay the groundwork for your post-programme career.

Keep in mind that your MBA journey will be unique. The focus on the first part of the programme is the core modules which provides you with the fundamental knowledge of business and management. In the second part, you will have the opportunity to take electives, drilling deeper into the subjects that interest you most or challenging yourself with a broad range of electives. Start thinking about what will be best for you and your career.  And whilst all this is happening, you will want to ensure you get the most value out of the extracurricular events, support networks for entrepreneurs or Careers events that are organised for you.

I look forward to meeting you all in September!

Best wishes,

Dr Paolo Aversa, Full-time MBA Course Director, Senior Lecturer in Strategy
