The first two modules give you a grounding of knowledge. This is built on over the following six modules, and the final four modules then give you specialist knowledge on global finance within various key industries.

Entry requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area equivalent to a UK 2.1 or higher
  • Strong communication skills including a well-balanced IELTS score of 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in writing for applicants whose first language is not English
  • University transcript and confirmation of professional qualifications
  • Good levels of financial literacy and numeracy are essential, and some knowledge of the finance industry will be beneficial to your application.


There is no GMAT requirement for this course.


UK/EU/International £23,000

Fees in each subsequent year of study (where applicable) will be subject to an annual increase of 2%. We will confirm any change to the annual tuition fee to you in writing prior to you commencing each subsequent year of study (where applicable).

Fees are payable annually (e.g. two annual payments of £11,500 ) or you may choose to make annual fee payments in two instalments, meaning that you effectively pay for the course in four 25% instalments over the two years it takes to complete.

Does the degree carry the same academic weight as a campus based masters?

Will the certificate state that the degree is online?

No. The certificate will simply state that you have achieved the qualification. The method of delivery, be that campus based or online, is not mentioned on any degree certificate awarded by Cass.

Do I need to attend exams in London?

No. There is no requirement to come to London for exams. All assessment is completed via our online learning platform.

Can I use the Cass facilities?

Yes, students on the MSc Global Finance are full members of the Cass community and are free to enjoy the same access to University facilities as any of their campus based colleagues whenever they can.

How many hours a week will I study?

This is a rigorous and demanding online course, and you will need to schedule your time to allow you to view video lectures, complete learning activities, contribute to online discussions, communicate with your online tutors, and for independent study such as reading, reflection and working on assignments.   The precise amount will vary depending on your prior knowledge and the topic at hand, but in a typical week you might study between 10 and 20 hours.
