The Business School (formerly Cass) was my first and only choice for postgraduate study as I have always aspired to obtain one of the most prestigious master’s degrees in finance in the very heart of London.
Choosing the Business School (formerly Cass)
Reflecting upon almost two decades of my academic life, the decision to enrol onto the MSc in International Accounting and Finance is, without a doubt, the one I’m most proud of. Not only because I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best professors I ever had throughout my education, but also because I was able to study in the very heart of London. The modules I have taken have enabled me to gain a comprehensive understanding within the field of accounting and finance and to obtain highly relevant and valuable skills.
My modules
Although my studies were focused on accounting and finance related modules, in the third semester I had the opportunity to take a family business module. That particular module was an eye-opener for me as I have gained in-depth knowledge of family business and best practice, as well as challenges. It helped me to understand my own role in the family business and some of the non-traditional ways in which I can contribute to its success. As a result, I decided to start my career outside the family business first while maintaining close connection through consulting.
Classmates and friends for life
In addition to outstanding professors, I love the heart and soul of the Business School. Some of the brightest minds I ever met were among my classmates. Sitting in class and listening to clever questions and answers will make you feel inspired. At the risk of sounding clichéd, postgraduate study is what I would always recommend to all hard-working and ambitious students who are not afraid to dream big.
This is a place where I met true friends, people with whom I spent unforgettable moments in the last 12 months. The people that I am certain will stay my friends in the years to come and with whom I will celebrate all the success stories that are ahead of us.
