Business and Management UG – become a mentor

Become a mentor

Have you been looking for something that gives you an edge during future interviews? Something unique that will get an employer’s attention? Something that means you will graduate with not only technical skills, but those all-important people skills too?

Become a mentor through our ground-breaking Mentoring and Coaching for Leadership module, exclusively for 2nd year Business and Management students at Cass.

  • Get ahead of your peers
  • Have something really interesting to talk about in interviews
  • Make a real difference to someone else
  • Work on yourself and your own personal development
  • Get feedback from mentoring experts on how you can improve
  • Take part in a unique and ground-breaking programme

Bill Gates once said during his May 2013 TED Talk: “Everyone needs a coach. It doesn't matter whether you're a basketball player, a tennis player, a gymnast or a bridge player. We all need people who will give us feedback. That’s how we improve.”

We agree with Bill! It’s easy to understand why 71% of all Fortune 500 companies have mentoring programmes; learning about mentoring and coaching helps you to develop a range of essential management and leadership skills including building trust, giving feedback, influencing and listening.

The module is packed with guest speakers and input from business leaders, interactive workshops, chances to practice the key skills with each other and the opportunity to mentor a fellow Cass student or local school pupil

This is a fantastic and unique opportunity to pick up a whole toolkit of new skills, enhance your CV and get to know yourself and others better. You’ll be amazed by what you learn!
