The Dean's Message

Dear Cass Community,Marianne Lewis

As we near the end of 2017, this is an opportune time to pause and reflect – we have much to cheer!

Individually and collectively, we have fuelled many impressive achievements and organisational transitions. I think we can all agree it has been a dynamic year, and I am grateful that our extraordinary community continues to thrive. As the list of achievements is very long, here is a quick snapshot.

In 2017, we continued our 50th anniversary celebration with remarkable activities, both in the UK and internationally. From research conferences and book launches to masterclasses and new specialised offerings, we shared our thought leadership. And our finale included a fantastic alumni event at the London Transport Museum.

To further our vibrant Cass Community, we also launched our digital alumni hub. Indeed, our alumni network keeps growing – creating more energised and engaged ambassadors for Cass across the world.

Our commitment to research and education excellence enabled numerous rankings successes. And it is fitting that the last one of the year, the Financial Times’ European Business School Rankings, encompassed efforts across Faculties, Programmes and Executive Education toward one of the largest jumps of any business school – 11 places to 4th in the UK and 15th in Europe.

Looking to 2018, we will significantly sharpen the focus and elevate the impact of our strategic plan. Cass is our shared platform – our means to inspire, support and celebrate each other, our students and our broader community. I feel blessed by such exceptional colleagues and opportunity.

On behalf of Cass, I wish you joyful holidays and a happy New Year.
