Cass alumni among those recognised in the Queen’s New Year Honours list

Cass alumni among those recognised in Her Majesty The Queen’s New Year Honours list.

Cass is celebrating the achievements of three alumni who have been recognised in the Queen’s 2016 New Year Honours.

Among those honoured were:

Cedric Wake, Chief Executive of The Nautical Institute, received an OBE for services to the Maritime Industry. Cedric holds an MSc Shipping, Trade and Finance (1989).

Janet Leach, Head of Disabled Children’s Services for the London Borough of Enfield, received an MBE for services to Children with Special Educational Needs. Janet is currently doing her  MSc Voluntary Sector Management (Conversion).

Carmel McConnell, Founder of Magic Breakfast charity, received an MBE for services to School Food. Carmel is an MBA alumna (1993).

All those who have been recognised will be invited to a ceremony held later in the year at a royal palace, attended by a member of the royal family.
