Cass MSc students in racing car competition
Formula Student sees teams building and designing cars
Cass MSc students will be part of the City Racing Team set to compete in the 2014 Formula Student competition in July.
Formula Student is an annual motorsport competition held at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire.
It challenges teams of university students to build and design single-seat racing cars to compete in a series of static and dynamic events.
Dr Aversa is Marie Curie Research Fellow of Strategy at Cass and a former Formula Student participant.
The Cass students will be working alongside peers from City University London's School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering.
Formula Student was conceptualised to develop prospective engineers. It's run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
It is also an opportunity for students of all subjects to develop skills in team working, time management, project management, budgeting and presentation.
The group from Cass will be working to help develop City Racing's internal capabilities and to improve its overall standing in the competition.
They will feature prominently in the business presentation event which is part of the static series of Formula Student events.
Over 100 university teams from across Europe competed in the 2013 competition.
