Pop along for an Austrian Wine Revolution
Cass student launches pop-up store in Shoreditch's BOXPARK
'Newcomer Wines, the Austrian Wine Revolution' aims to make quality 'high-end' wine more accessible to consumers.
Peter and his team import the wines directly from producers in Austria. In store, customers can learn all about each wine, from vineyard to bottle, via interactive screens.
Peter says, "Newcomer has been established to create a revolutionary way of exploring and buying wines. We want to act as a linking platform between customers and wine makers, offering the chance to present their unique wines to a fresh customer and fan base."
Speaking about his experiences at Cass he says:
"Cass has provided a perfect mix of academia and real world teaching this year, in particular, this term. Modules such as New Venture Thinking, Branding Advertising with Dr Marius Luedicke have been instantly applicable to my start-up life.
"In addition City Unrulyversity events, especially the Online Entrepreneurship session last year with CEO Carl Waldekranz of TicTail, have been inspiring. In fact we used the TicTail model for our online store."
Habib Lesevic, a Visiting Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Cass and advisor to Peter and the Newcomer Wine team says: "Peter is an exceptional individual with an intuitive understanding of what it takes to succeed in the changing business landscape of our times. He's driven by a wonderful entrepreneurial spirit and his open and enthusiastic manner make it easy for him to mobilise and excite the people and resources around him. All these qualities reflect nicely in his wonderful new venture, Newcomer."
