The Sandhu Charitable Foundation supports three undergraduate scholarships

The students will each receive £5,000 a year towards their tuition

Cass Business School is delighted to announce the support of the Sandhu Charitable Foundation in funding three new undergraduate scholarships.

The Sandhu Charitable Foundation was founded by Cass Executive MBA alumnus Bim Sandhu and his wife Pardeep in 2006.

The Foundation gives up to £250,000 a year to vital projects that support children and young people with an emphasis on education. Projects must have the potential to make a fundamental and long-term difference in the lives of the people they support.

null"Pardeep and I come from a working-class background," Bim said, "Our immigrant parents instilled in us the fundamental value of education and the importance of hard work in helping change not only our own lives but also those around us. This is why we have decided to support three students through their business education at Cass. We hope to inspire the young people and the organisations we support onto great efforts."

This year's Sandhu Charitable Foundation Scholars are Christian Klotz, BSc Management, Anupama Rathore, BSc Actuarial Science and Thu Nguyen, BSc Accounting & Finance.

They will receive £5,000 a year toward their tuition for the duration of their three year degree programme at Cass.

Sandhu Charitable FoundationThu Nguyen, a student from Vietnam, described her feelings on receiving the scholarship: "Being awarded this scholarship is a great relief for me and my family; we worried about how we were going to afford my studies in London. The scholarship has given me the chance to complete my first degree and start my career. I'm excited about the journey I am beginning at Cass. I hope to be successful in my studies and I am looking forward to a bright future."

Director of Development and Alumni Relations, David Street expressed the University's appreciation: "We are grateful to Bim and Pardeep Sandhu for committing to funding three scholarships for our students. The generosity of our high-profile alumni enables Cass to keep improving our educational offering and provide opportunities for bright and deserving undergraduate students."
