'MBA Star' shortlisted for Women of the Future Awards
Cass alumna one of five finalists
Cass MBA alumna, Maria Vallet has been shortlisted for the MBA Star category at this year's Women of the Future Awards.
Now in their seventh year, the awards recognise the achievements of successful young women in Britain.
The MBA Star award is given to a current or former MBA student who has an exciting vision for the future and a compelling life-story.
Viola Polakowska, full time MBA Advisor at Cass Business School, who nominated Maria for the award said: "I nominated Maria as she was President of our Women in Business Society which empowers the professional and personal development of our female students.
"Maria was heavily involved with the MBA team in organising a very successful event on International Women's Day in March 2012. It involved putting together a female panel of four top executives from different sectors to share the challenges they have faced while pursuing their career goals. Maria showed a lot of enthusiasm and initiative when taking on her responsibilities for this event."
Maria Vallet said: "Being nominated and shortlisted for the Women of the Future Awards is already a reward in itself for me; I'm over the moon about it and really proud of representing Cass Business School."
The awards ceremony will take place on 20 November 2012 at the London Marriott Grosvenor Square.
