Cass appoints leading accountancy professor
Eli Amir will join Faculty of Finance in August
Cass Business School is delighted to announce that Eli Amir will join the Faculty of Finance as Professor of Accounting on 1 August. Professor Amir will split his time between Cass and Tel Aviv University where he will also be taking up a Professorship.
Professor Amir is a world-leading scholar who has made a number of influential contributions in accounting. He has been published throughout his career in top accounting journals, including the Accounting Review, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, the Journal of Accounting Research, and the Review of Accounting Studies. Professor Amir holds a PhD from the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, and has previously held tenured positions at Columbia Business School and London Business School. He joins Cass from London Business School, where he is currently Professor of Accounting and formerly Chairman of the Accounting Subject Area.
