Cass collaborates with Real Deals for the Private Equity Awards
Students and alumni will research nomination companies
Cass Business School has been asked by 'Real Deals', organisers of the annual Private Equity awards, to collaborate on the 2012 awards.
Under the guidance of Cass Senior Fellow Guy Fraser-Sampson, postgraduate students and recent alumni from both Cass's MSc and MBA programmes will conduct in-depth research on firms and companies shortlisted for the Awards. They will present their findings to the Awards panel of judges, which will include at least one Cass representative.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony attended by over 600 private equity professionals from across Europe at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane on the 17th April 2012.
Real Deals is Europe's leading private equity publication, published fortnightly and available online. It is known for its extensive and up to the minute deal and fund coverage, as well as for its trenchant comment and analysis. It has organised the annual Private Equity Awards - the oldest of their kind - since 2001.
Dean Richard Gillingwater CBE comments: "We are delighted to have been asked to work alongside Real Deals assisting with the judging of these prestigious awards. This underlines the commitment of our MBA programme to the investment space generally, as exemplified by specialist modules we offer including M&A, Derivatives, Investment Strategy, and Private Equity, all of which are taught by leading practitioners. Private Equity in particular is a good example of an area in which we believe we have a truly world-beating competitive advantage."
