Big names from the public and private sector in attendance
Earlier this week Cass Business School's Professor Veronica Hope-Hailey led thirty seven Human Resources Managers and Directors from leading organisations in the UK and the Netherlands in a workshop on repairing trust.
Dr Hope-Hailey, who is Professor of Strategic Human Resource Management, presented the preliminary results of a research project she has led on the subject. Full results from the project, which is funded by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, will be released in January.
The event included a keynote speech by the UK government Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) Director of Communications Russell Grossman. David McLeod, a Visiting Professor at Cass and chair of the government sponsored task force on employee engagement, also spoke, as did a range of practitioners.
Legal firm Norton Rose hosted the event which was attended by representatives from organisations including Ernst and Young, GKN, John Lewis Partnership, ABN AMRO bank, BIS, HMRC, Royal Mail, Cable and Wireless, Day Lewis Pharmacy group, Orvis and several county councils.
Earlier in the month Professor Hope-Hailey also gave a well received address to the annual CIPD conference in Manchester.
