Lord Mayor meet Cass alumni in Dubai

Alderman Michael Bear praises Cass's 90 per cent growth in Dubai

The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Michael Bear, was guest of honour at an Alumni event for the graduates of our Dubai based EMBA course last week. Since the first Executive MBA (EMBA) was launched in 2007 some 191 students have passed through the programme, which is taught from the school's state of the art campus at the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The Lord Mayor commended the progress of the School: "Since its launch in 2007 Cass's Dubai Executive MBA programme has successfully recruited its fourth cohort and seen student admissions grow by 90 per cent. The popularity of the Cass programme is a testament to the excellent reputation built over the last four years, and also the commitment of the professors who fly out from London each month to teach students".

Ehsan Razavizadeh, Regional Director of Cass Business School in Dubai, said: "We were honoured to host the Lord Mayor as the Chancellor of our University and privileged that he has addressed our Executive MBA students in Dubai. The Lord Mayor's role as ambassador for the UK's financial services industry is more important than ever in these promising times of economic recovery. I am sure that his insights will have proven valuable to Cass students."

The annually-elected Lord Mayor is the head of the City of London Corporation and acts as ambassador for the UK-financial services industry, typically spending three months a year leading City business delegations overseas and promoting London's business credentials abroad. The Lord Mayor visited the UAE on a ten day tour of the region, which also saw him visit Qatar and KSA.
