Cass academic granted Freedom of the City of London
Chris Roebuck receives honour for his contribution to good leadership practice
Visiting Professor Chris Roebuck has been granted Freedom of the City of London. He received the historic honour in recognition of his contribution to the development of good management and leadership practice.
The Freedom of the City of London, which dates back to 1237, is offered to individuals by the City of London Corporation to help celebrate a significant achievement or to pay tribute to their outstanding contribution to London life
Speaking at the ceremony in London's Guildhall, Visiting Professor Roebuck, said: "I am proud and honoured to receive the Freedom of the City of London, which is one of the City's great traditions dating back to medieval times."
Visiting Professor Roebuck advises organisations across the public and private sectors on delivering better organisational performance. It is the second major award he has received after being made a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers.
