Cass Business School officially welcomed its newest cohort of Executive MBA (EMBA) students this weekend with 60 students enrolled for the class of 2010-2012.  The two year programme is delivered in collaboration with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
The new students took part in a four day induction at the DIFC campus, which included an introduction to the faculty, the unique Cass virtual learning environment, CassLearn, team building and professional development workshops and a social reception hosted by the school at the Capital Club.
The students also enjoyed a formal welcome to the course by Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of DIFCA and Guy Warrington, HM Consul General.  In addition, an address about the programme was given by the Director of the Dubai EMBA course, Professor Roy Batchelor.
Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of DIFC Authority commented: It is my pleasure to welcome all the students to the DIFC. Programmes like the Cass Business School’s Dubai Executive MBA help to create new business leaders.  We place a premium on professional development for the skills we need to support our future economic growth. The creation of world-class business learning opportunities is one of the cornerstones of our strategy to develop DIFC as one of the world’s established global financial centres.
Professor Batchelor said: It is with great pleasure that we welcome our 2010-2012 cohort of students to the Dubai Executive MBA. I am sure they, like their predecessors on this degree, will find the Executive MBA a life enhancing and career changing experience. They can look forward to some serious academic study with some leading professors, but also to the excitement of making new friends and doing business together.
Ehsan Razavizadeh, Regional Director for Middle-East and North Africa said: "I am delighted to welcome our new students to the Cass EMBA programme in Dubai. I am sure they bring a great deal of experience, knowledge and insight to this class. Cass Business School’s reputation in the region is flourishing and the success of our prestigious EMBA is once again reflected in our 2010 intake. Our students are particularly diverse both from a cultural and professional perspective. We have maintained the cohort size of the previous year which is part of our wider strategy to preserve the quality of the learning experience."
