Richard Gillingwater, Dean of Cass Business School, formally closed the NASDAQ markets in New York City on Wednesday 24 November.

During the ceremony, the Dean gave a short speech highlighting strengths of the research and teaching at Cass.  He explained we have a very active alumni base in the US, including some high level CEOs such as Bob Kelly, CEO of BNY Mellon and Mukhtar Kent, CEO of the Coca-Cola Company.

He explained the Business School is the intellectual hub of the City of London and he highlighted the School’s recent accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a US accreditation body.

Taking part in the NASDAQ Closing Bell ceremony was a huge honour for the Dean and Cass Business School as this ceremonial role is usually reserved for those heads of companies who trade on NASDAQ.

If you missed watching the ceremony live, you can view a low resolution video of the Closing Bell Ceremony here.
