Cass student acclaimed as Business and Finance Undergraduate of the Year

BSc Business Studies student Jaclyn Kurysko wins national award

Cass BSc Business Studies student Jaclyn Kurysko has been acclaimed as the ’TARGETjobs Business and Finance Undergraduate of the Year’ at an awards ceremony, hosted my Michael Portillo, in the East Winter Gardens at Canary Wharf earlier this month.
The TARGETjobs awards recognise the brightest undergraduate talent at UK universities in a number of different sectors including law, business, computer science, finance and engineering. Contestants are required to pass a rigorous three-stage selection process which included a mixture of online tests, telephone interviews, assessment centres and scenario-based exercises.
Jaclyn’s prize is a guaranteed summer internship with Morgan Stanley, who sponsored the award, followed by a personalised week-long Company Insight Programme’ at their New York HQ, all expenses paid. Two Cass Actuarial Science undergraduates, Abbey Powell and Syed Rizvi, were also on the 10 person shortlist which included students from Cardiff, Durham, LSE and Oxford.
Pro-Vice Chancellor and Head of Cass Undergraduate School said: "This is an excellent achievement and everyone at Cass is very proud of Jaclyn, Abbey and Syed. Having three of our students nominated in a high-profile national award like this is testament to the quality of our undergraduates."
