Business leaders must shine their light elsewhere

Professor David Sims says business leaders must understand their own weaknesses to be effective

Thursday, 18 March, 2010

David Sims, Professor of Management at Cass Business School, argues that more business leaders must understand their own weaknesses and delegate tasks to compensate for them. He also says that business leadership research has spent too long concentrating on a very narrow spectrum and should look to re-focus on areas that have not have had as much attention.

Professor Sims explains his views for this week’s Cass Talks interview. Cass Talks is a series of free video and audio interviews uploaded weekly each Wednesday, presented by BBC Business Reporter and current Cass EMBA student, Alex Ritson.

The interviews are an opportunity to hear Cass faculty give their perspective on current business and finance news stories, global issues affecting the business world and new research coming out of the School.
