How entrepreneurs can take advantage of the recession
Wednesday, 16 June, 2010
Is it wise to start a new business in the middle of a financial downturn? That is one of the questions put to
Julie Logan, Professor of Entrepreneurship, in this week’s Cass Talks interview. Professor Logan says that now
may actually be a good time for entrepreneurs with great business ideas as the economic slowdown will provide the
opportunity for them to establish their business slowly before taking advantage of the upturn when it comes.
Professor Logan also discusses a new course recently run at Cass, the New Venture Creation Programme which helps equip budding entrepreneurs with the necessarily skills to make their business a success.
The Cass Talks interviews are an opportunity to hear Cass faculty give their perspective on current business and finance news stories, global issues affecting the business world and new research coming out of the School.
Julie Logan is an entrepreneurship and small business expert at Cass Business School. Listen, watch and download Julie Logan’s Cass Talks and see other Cass academics share their opinions at www.cass.city.ac.uk/casstalks
