Nine more scholarships provided to Cass from Santander Universities UK

Each year Santander donates 1,200 scholarships to British universities

Richard Gillingwater, Dean of Cass Business School, was one of 24 different representatives of British universities who recently attended an event to celebrate the 1,200 scholarships Santander donates to universities in the UK.
Santander has donated nine scholarships to Cass (an increase from five scholarships last year) and these will be awarded to candidates from Iberamerican countries for undergraduate and post-graduate study. Cass is one of 42 universities to receive scholarships from Santander Universities UK.
António Horta-Osório, UK chief executive said: We want students to emerge stronger despite the undesirable economic conditions, and by improving education and developing a strategy for continued improvement in learning opportunities, research and mobility we believe this is possible. I am delighted to represent Santander in making this announcement, and hope the 42 UK universities benefiting are as excited as we, at Santander, are about this opportunity."
As well as Mr Horta-Osório, the event was also attended by UK Chairman Lord Burns and the Director of Santander Universities UK Luis Juste.
Mallory Robinson, Interim Director of Development and External Relations, said: We are extremely proud to work with Santander to provide nine highly deserving students with scholarships.  Santander makes it possible for ambitious and talented students to achieve their full potential at Cass.
