University Staff Research Prize 2008

A wide range of impressive demonstrations of research excellence from across the University was recently submitted to the judging panel of the University Staff, and Dr Gianvito Lanzolla, Senior Lecturer in Strategy, won a main prize of £1000.
This award is in recognition of Dr Lanzolla’s contributions to research in the field of strategic and innovation management, in particular the relationship between technological and market change, market entry timing, and sustainability of competitive advantage for incumbent companies and new start-ups.  The prize is to be used by Dr Lanzolla in support of future research.

The prize was formally announced at the end of the University Research Competition. Dr Lanzolla said: I am delighted to be the winner of this prize, my field of research is one which is continually changing and advancing and it is exciting to be able to contribute to the body of academic knowledge in this field.

The School congratulates Dr Lanzolla on his achievement and wishes him continuing success in his research.
