Dr Alessandro Giudici named in Poets & Quants World’s Best 40 under 40 MBA Professors list
The leading business school forum included Dr Giudici in its eighth annual World’s Best 40 Under 40 MBA Professors, which recognises young business school academics from around the globe who have shown research excellence and teaching prowess, as well as having a profound impact on students, colleagues and administrators.
Dr Giudici, who is also Director of the Modular Executive MBA (MEMBA) at Cass, entered the list with what is thought to be the highest number of nominations ever received for an academic. He was very pleased to receive the recognition, but quick to thank colleagues and students for the accolade.
“To be included in such a prestigious group is a very proud moment for me,” he said.
“It is nice to be held in high esteem by academic colleagues, but it’s also pleasing to know that my teaching is having an impact on students."
“I enjoy applying strategic problems to bring teaching to life, and try to integrate corporate client projects into both my classes and dissertation supervision where at all possible. It’s what I would want from an MBA and I think students appreciate that.”
Dr Giudici was among those chosen from more than 160 nominated professors for inclusion in the list. As well as the rapport he has shared with students past and present, he acknowledged the impact of colleagues and mentors who have shaped his academic journey and advised young aspiring academics to continually seek guidance from more senior peers.
“The academic journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Developing good practices in research and teaching can take time, but you should never be afraid to take advice from others in the industry – or indeed challenge norms and common perceptions.”
Applications are now open for the 2021 Modular Executive MBA (MEMBA) programme at Cass. A variety of scholarships are also available for this programme, including three special Director’s scholarships.
