Cass welcomes Susan Kilsby for a fireside chat with Professor Marianne Lewis

Business leader discusses her career and the changing world of M&A at an exclusive event

Cass Business School was delighted to welcome renowned business leader Susan Kilsby to Bunhill Row on Wednesday 9th May.  Ms Kilsby spoke to Professor Marianne Lewis, Dean of Cass Business School, about her career, leadership experience and her views on the current Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) market.   Ms Kilsby was formally introduced by Professor Scott Moeller, Director of the Mergers and Acquisitions Research Centre (MARC).

Susan Kilsby is a renowned leader across various business and finance sectors.  She retired in January as Chairman of Shire plc, a top 20 FTSE100 business that focuses on developing and delivering innovative therapies for people with rare diseases and highly specialised conditions. She currently serves on the Boards of Diageo, BHP, BBA Aviation and Fortune Brands Home and Security.  Her prior experience includes serving Credit Suisse as Chairman, EMEA Mergers and Acquisitions.  She was recently appointed to The Takeover Panel.

Professor Lewis said she was delighted to welcome Ms Kilsby to Cass for a very special event.

“Susan has led a distinguished career on the international business stage and is a role model for our students.  I am very grateful to her for her leadership as Chairman of the MARC Board and for her many contributions to Cass as a Senior Visiting Fellow and as a 2016 honorary doctorate recipient from City, University of London.  We are very pleased to welcome her back to Cass tonight and our students will learn much from her wealth of knowledge and experience.”
