Cass women attend Financial Times Women at the Top 2018

Summit discusses key issues shaping gender debates today

Scholars, alumnae and staff from the Cass Global Women’s Leadership Programme attended the Financial Times Women at the Top Summit on Thursday 20th September at the Landmark Hotel, London.  The theme of the Summit was Time to Change.

Delegates heard from leading figures from finance, business and government including Sandie Okoro, Senior Vice President, World Bank; Frances O’Grady, General Secretary, Trade Union Congress; Carolyn Fairbairn, Director General, CBI; and Penny Mordaunt, Secretary of State for International Development and Minister for Women.  There was also a Speed Networking Session, supported by Cass, which gave delegates the opportunity to meet peers and develop their networking skills in a friendly, informal setting.

Dr Canan Kocabasoglu-Hillmer, Director, Global Women’s Leadership Programme, Cass Business School said the Programme was pleased to support Women at the Top.

“Our Global Women’s Leadership Scholars enjoyed the opportunity to listen to leading industry figures and contribute to action-focused discussions on the central issues shaping gender debates today.  The speed networking session was a particular highlight, giving our Scholars the opportunity to network and to meet like-minded peers from a range of organisations.”
