Cass Business School is delighted to confer the award of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) to Mr Luis Juste, OBE.

Luis has made a significant and lasting contribution to higher education, through his role as Director and Commercial Director of Santander Universities.

Established in 1996, Santander Universities is a long-term, strategic alliance that benefits students and university staff in communities across the world by providing scholarships, mobility awards, research grants and customer support.

It’s an honour to have Luis Juste join our esteemed list of honorary graduates. He is a passionate advocate of education and supporting our students. Under his leadership Santander developed many of the initiatives that have helped Cass and City to improve the experience of our students including community days, financial counselling, internships, mentoring and support for entrepreneurship and careers events.

About Luis Juste, OBE

Luis was born in Avila, Spain and graduated from the CEU San Pablo University, Madrid. He completed an MA in Economics from University College, Dublin.

Luis began his career with Santander in 1989 working within the Institutional Banking Sector in Madrid.  Following this he worked in different international managerial positions within the banking group including Trade Finance in London, Corporate Banking in Madrid and Small to Medium Enterprises in Portugal.

He joined the Santander Universities Global Division in 2000 where he was initially responsible for the development of activity within 11 countries in Latin America.
