Innovate UK names City Knowledge Transfer Partners project 'outstanding'

The project was evaluated by a panel of independent assessors.

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project that enabled the development and growing success of CarePulse, a system designed by Evalucom Consulting Ltd. to monitor quality indicators in healthcare, has been deemed 'outstanding' by Innovate UK, after being evaluated by a panel of independent assessors.

The project will also be shortlisted as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project case study.

This highlights just how beneficial Innovate UK's Knowledge Transfer Partnership projects are for both businesses and universities and I recommend that any business looking to grow should consider this excellent scheme.

About Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Partnerships is a UK-wide programme that has been helping businesses for the past 40 years to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK Knowledge Base.

About CarePulse

CarePulse, is an innovative digital system that manages the quality of care for patients in care homes and domiciliary care was developed with the help of expertise from Cass Business School, City, University of London.

The system is designed to monitor quality indicators, such as healthcare-acquired infections, to make sure the standard of care provided to patients is high and sustainable. This will allow the NHS to, for example, reduce the risk of infection and therefore cut down unnecessary admissions to hospital.

Professor Neil Maiden said:

“The KTP partnership enabled City to deploy its expertise and resources directly to an SME to innovate a new product – CarePulse.

“Receiving an outstanding evaluation is testament to the innovation and hard work of the teams behind CarePulse, which has improved the productivity and accuracy of captured data about the quality of care delivered by UK service providers.

“It also highlights just how beneficial Innovate UK's Knowledge Transfer Partnership projects are for both businesses and universities and I recommend that any business looking to grow should consider this excellent scheme.”
