Cass Entrepreneurship Fund companies shortlisted for prestigious UKBAA awards

Two Cass Entrepreneurship Fund portfolio companies, Family Traveller and Raremark, have been shortlisted for this year’s UK Business Angels Association awards.

Family Traveller is a digital and print media business focussed on family travel. The business has seen revenue growth of 138% and digital traffic growth of 268%, year-on-year.

Raremark is an innovative online platform developing community and search resources for rare disease patients to help improve their quality of life and access to treatment.

Helen Reynolds, Investment Director of the £10m investment fund, said ‘I am delighted to see the hard work and success of these portfolio companies, and their CEOs, being recognised in the shortlisting. The UKBAA is a cornerstone of the early-stage investment community in the UK, and to see management efforts acknowledged at this stage is a real privilege’.

Family Traveller, which is currently raising funds through online platform Crowdcube (click here to learn more), has been shortlisted for ‘High Growth Team of the Year’ and ‘Angel-VC Scale Up of the Year’. The shortlistings recognise the significant growth, team development and pooling of investment talent among both professional fund and individual Angel investors in the year.

Raremark, which is pioneering a digital approach to supporting rare disease patients, has been shortlisted in both ‘Best Investment in MedTech’ and ‘Best Investment in a High Growth Woman Founder’, acknowledging the achievements of CEO and founder Julie Walters in reaching out to under-served patient communities and developing an innovative, high-growth, business model.

The winners will be announced at the UKBAA Gala dinner, to be hosted at the Royal Exchange on 5^th July.
