Congratulations to Cass’ Undergraduate Prize Winners who received their awards this week.

The prizes of £100-300 - given to the highest achievers in years one and two of the school’s degree courses - have been running for seven years.

Dean Marianne Lewis, who presented the accolades, said: “It was a pleasure meeting these award winners. This exceptionally international group – from Tanzania to China to Germany – exemplifies academic excellence, while truly making the most of their opportunities at Cass. Their energy was contagious.”

Dr Russell Gerrard, Associate Dean for the Undergraduate Programme, said:  “What struck me in talking to the students was not so much their high overall standard of achievement – I take that for granted at a ceremony designed to honour the best students in their cohorts – but the extent to which so many of them were involved in gaining life experiences which went beyond the limitations of the academic curriculum.

“These students are well aware that what makes you stand out in your future career is not so much your degree certificate as all the other elements which go to make up a well-rounded CV.”
