Reach for the Stars

In support of British Astronaut Tim Peake’s launch to the International Space Station, Cass Business School has announced two new scholarships: the Inspirational Leader’s Scholarship, and the Career Transformation Scholarship.

Tim Peake Each scholarship is worth 50% of the total tuition fees and is open to our Modular and Evening Executive MBA programmes.

Dr Sionade Robinson, Associate Dean of MBA Programme, said: “Tim Peake beat 10,000 applicants to win his place on the International Space Station. His story is one of transformation - the former British army air corps helicopter pilot said he never seriously contemplated a career as an astronaut, since the chances of becoming one were so limited – particularly since the UK had opted out of the European programme for human space flight.

“It got us thinking here at Cass about supporting other determined individuals who want to create an exciting future career that might seem – right now – to be out of reach. That’s where an MBA Scholarship can help. Space exploration brings nations, science and enterprise together - and we’d like to support Tim’s mission in our own way, by launching our two new MBA Scholarships – for Inspirational Leadership and Career Transformation.”
