Cass hosts academic seminar for best business schools
Authors of Oxford Handbook of Professional Service Firms meet ahead of book's release
Academics from the international community met at Cass for a seminar ahead of the publication of the Oxford Handbook of Professional Service Firms.
Leading academics working in the field of professional service firms were invited to contribute to the Handbook which will be published in 2015.
The day-long event was opened by Laura Empson, Professor in the Management of Professional Service Firms at Cass and one of the handbook's editors. She gave a presentation on her research into leadership in professional service firms and closed the event with her thoughts on future research themes.
Seminars were chaired by the publication's other editors; Joe Broschak, University of Arizona; Bob Hinings, Alberta School of Business; and Daniel Muzio, Manchester Business School. Topics covered included theoretical perspectives, client relationships and service innovation.
Among the other institutions represented at the event were Saïd Business School, University of Oxford; Harvard Business School; Freie Universität Berlin and the Stockholm School of Economics.
