Research by Cass Senior Lecturer in Management, Dr Amanda Goodall, and the University of Sheffield has shown that Formula One teams with leaders who who started out as drivers or mechanics win twice as many races as their rivals.

In this week's episode of Cass Talks, Dr Goodall explains the findings of the study which looked at 18,000 Formula One races staged over the last 60 years.

She explains why the key to success is hiring so-called 'expert leaders' and how this pattern applies not just in Formula One but across other public and private sector organisations.
