Celebrating business with an academic edge
Cass Consulting host series of presentation lunches
This week Cass Consulting rounded up a series of five presentation lunches showcasing the impact of their research on the organisations they have worked with over the last twelve months.
The events began in June when Cass' Deputy Dean, Professor Steve Haberman, outlined his work with Swiss ReInsurance which involved reviewing the model they were using for forecasting life expectancy.
Over the next two lunches, Professor Cliff Oswick discussed how, based upon his expertise in new forms of organisational development, he was invited to undertake a large-scale group intervention with 110 National Training Laboratory consultants and Professor Andrew Clare and Dr Nick Motson spoke about their recent work with Financial Express (FE) to research and test an innovative portfolio construction technique.
Following on, Dr Andreas Tsanakas shared his experience of delivering a consultancy project for the General Insurance team at the Financial Services Authority in light of the impending Solvency II framework and finally, this week, Professor Clive Holtham presented '21st Century Creativity', explaining how Cass has been involved in researching innovation for over 20 years.
Dr Christina Makris, Business Development Manager for Cass Consulting said: "Cass Consulting aims to commercialise new innovations from academic experts that will help organisations be more effective and competitive. The school's researchers benefit from a strong association with regulators, professional bodies and independent organisations that differentiates us from our competitors."
The lunches, held at the prestigious Andaz Hotel, Liverpool Street, attracted nearly 200 guests who came to meet Cass experts and network with other industry specific professionals.
