London 2012: Legacy or loss?

The London 2012 Olympics has received remarkable press over the past two weeks. It has attracted spectators from across the world and has created an Olympic buzz throughout the UK, especially with Team GB achieving such excellent results.

However, the Olympics have accumulated huge debts for many of the host countries in the past. Montreal, who held the games in 1976, was left with a legacy of 30 years of debt.
