Overview
Zoe Radnor is Vice-President (Strategy & Planning). Equality & Diversity is a significant element of Zoe’s portfolio.
Before joining City, University of London Zoe was Dean of the School of Business and Professor of Service Operations Management at the University of Leicester.
Zoe started her academic career at the University of Leeds before moving the University of Manchester, University of Bradford then University of Warwick where overtime she was promoted to Reader before becoming a Professor at Cardiff University.
Zoe has also been Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) for Loughborough University in London campus and co-director of the Research Centre for Service Management at Loughborough University.
An engineer by background, Zoe has a BEng in Production Management from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Cranfield University and a PhD in Management Science from UMIST (now University of Manchester).
Zoe has considerable experience of academic strategy and planning. As Associate Dean she played a leading role in establishing Loughborough’s postgraduate campus on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Her achievements as Dean at Leicester include merging two departments to create its School of Business, planned relocation to a new site and, redesigned the learning and teaching portfolio while increasing student numbers.
Zoe’s research interest is in performance and process improvement and service management within public sector organisations. She has led research projects for a number of Government and HE organisations, evaluating the use of ‘lean’ techniques and continues to maintain a strong ongoing research profile.
Zoe is a Fellow of the British Academy of Management (FBAM) and the Academy of Social Science (FAcSS). She has published over 100 articles, papers, chapters and reports and has presented widely, nationally and internationally, to academic, governmental and practitioner audiences.
