About
Overview
Ece Kaynak is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior at Bayes Business School. She is an ethnographer and qualitative field researcher studying changes in work and organizing practices from an occupational lens. She has examined how career switchers reskill to enter digital occupations without following established learning pathways, how expert occupations attempt to regulate professional misconduct among their members under heightened accountability pressures, and how boundary-spanning occupations engage in influence work to shape the political environment of firms and industries. Dr. Kaynak's research is phenomena driven, in pursuit of questions that have not just organizational but societal implications.
At Bayes, Dr. Kaynak has (co)taught masters and MBA level courses on Leading Organizations in the Digital Age, and Managing Strategic Change. At the undergraduate level, she has taught Introduction to Management, as well as Critical Analysis for Business courses. She also teaches Organization Theory and Ethnographic Methods in the PhD program.
Prior to joining Bayes, Dr. Kaynak completed her PhD at Stanford University, Management Science and Engineering Department, and her MSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Management Department.
