Cass Business School's faculty comprises over 100 research-active experts. Many of our faculty hold impressive academic credentials and a strong industry background including former senior economic advisors at the Bank of England, editors of influential journals, visiting professors in top-tier business schools, fellows of professional bodies and frequently-cited authors.
Forward-thinking research is fundamental to all members of the faculty and Cass has an outstanding reputation in this area. The 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) ranked Cass one of the top ten Business Schools in the UK for Business and Management research. In 2010, a study published by the European Financial Management Journal ranked Cass Finance research third in Europe.
This elevated research capability enables Cass to stay at the forefront of business and management education.
Crucially, Cass research is also relevant to the needs of business leaders, government, professionals and the media. The 2008 RAE declared 90 per cent of Cass research to be of international significance or higher.
Cass experts advise governments, regulatory bodies and businesses. Our research shapes policy and regulation and feeds into industry and the professions. It is widely publicised in prestigious journals, international conferences and influential written and broadcast media.
We invest in the recruitment of promising young researchers from the world's top business schools and develop new talent through our doctoral research programme, one of the largest in the UK and consistently ranked in the world's top 40 in the Financial Times league tables of international business schools.
