Cass CCE consultants often help individuals to improve their own performance in order to improve their organisation's performance.
Coaching and mentoring
We are often asked to provide coaching and mentoring services to chief executives, senior members of staff, chairs and sometimes trustees. These services can be:
- Directive (passing on and developing knowledge and skills)
- Catalytic (supporting changes in attitude, behaviour and confidence).
We match the coach or mentor to the needs of the individual, enabling a relationship based on trust. The themes we are asked to address include:
- Supporting individuals in a time of change - especially during or after a merger
- Developing specific expertise in an area such as fund raising, marketing or grant making
- Understanding the boundaries between operations
- The relationship with the Chair
- Coping with personnel issues and conflict
- Having more confidence in working with your team
- Reviewing communication styles
- Personal career planning.
We also:
- Provide coaches and mentors as part of a wider Leadership and Management Development programme
- Train line managers to use the coaching skills that empower members of their team to take responsibility for issues.
