About the PhD programme at Bayes Business School

Bayes Business School's faculty comprises over 100 research-active scholars. Many of our faculty hold impressive academic credentials – they are editors of influential journals, and highly-cited researchers. We draw our PhD supervisors from this pool of research talent. Each student is allocated two or more dedicated supervisors who will guide their research and foster their development as academic researchers.

Bayes has also developed a unique Executive PhD. The programme is designed to be flexible, to enable busy executives to undertake a PhD, without having to take a career break. It is designed for senior executives working in industry, government or not-for-profit sectors who want a qualification that is highly practical and relevant to their organisation.

The Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 rated Bayes 5^th in the UK for Business and Management research. In total, 92% of our research was rated as world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*) – up from 84% in REF 2014.
