Master’s degree performed strongly in prestigious global ranking.

by Kyla Jardine (Senior Communications Officer)

The Financial Times has ranked Cass's MSc in Management 18th globally and 3rd in the UK.

The master’s degree increased its position by 20 places in the rankings and, was in large part, thanks to strong alumni salaries three years after graduating.

Alumni success

The data also showed that our alumni achieved the:

  • 2nd highest percentage increase in salary within three years globally
  • 2nd highest salary after three years in the UK
  • Best career progress in London from first post-graduation job to three years later

Rankings methodology is based on diverse factors including alumni surveys, with the most weight given to the feedback of alumni three years post-graduation (this year the 2013/2014 cohort).

Professor Marianne Lewis, Dean, Cass Business School said:

At Cass we enable the extraordinary, and achieving an increase of 20 places globally reflects the tremendous commitment and expertise of our staff and the vital engagement of our students and alumni across the MSc in Management programme. Our master’s students and alumni community enjoy thriving and sustainable careers, and our significant increase in the Financial Time’s rankings demonstrates that success.

Dr Nick Motson, Associate Dean, MSc Programmes commented:

In an increasingly competitive market, securing a top 20 global ranking for the MSc in Management not only reflects the strong career progression and earning potential of our graduates, but demonstrates the real-world value of being a Cass management graduate. This is a great achievement for the programme. Thank you to all of the faculty, staff and students who continue to make MSc in Management a success.

Our curriculum combines a great measure of flexibility, giving students significant choice and control over their studies. This provides our students with a learning experience that is as unique as they are. At Cass, they can also develop their personal interests and career aims throughout their master's degree.
