by Sophie Cubbin (PR and Communications Manager)

The Financial Times has published a new ranking of the top MBAs in finance for 2017.

The Cass MBA has been ranked 25th globally, 8th in Europe, and 4th in the UK.

Additionally, the Financial Times ranked the Cass MBA as:

  • 2nd globally for value for money for finance
  • 2nd in Europe for finance research
  • 5th globally for international mobility in finance
  • 8th globally for career progress in finance, and
  • 1st in the UK for proportion of alumni working in finance

Dr Sionade Robinson, Associate Dean of the MBA Programme, commented:

Our MBA students choose Cass because we deliver powerful educational and development programmes to help them accelerate and explore exciting future careers. The result reflects the strength of our alumni careers in the finance industry and the international diversity of our community.  It is also testament to the quality of the education delivered in the Corporate Finance and Investment Management concentrations of the course.

As a result of the school’s strong research and teaching profile, the Cass MBA Programme continues to develop and now offers MBA concentrations in Finance, Corporate Finance and Investment Management, Real Estate Finance and Investment (with the MSc), plus Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Strategy through strength and depth in electives.

Professor Marianne Lewis, Dean of Cass Business School, commented:

The strong ranking demonstrates Cass’ position as a leader in finance research – our faculty develop new and innovative ways of working which influences policy, is applied within industry and ensures our students are equipped with the very latest knowledge in the field. I’d like to thank our extraordinary staff, students and alumni for helping Cass to achieve this tremendous result.

The ranking is based on alumni feedback that was captured in the survey for the full time MBA ranking from the 2012/13 cohort.
