Concluding Note
This conference took place on July 1st-July 2nd 2010, organised by Dr Richard Fairchild (School of Management, University of Bath, UK), Professor Gulnur Muradoglu (Cass Business School, UK), and Professor Daniel Zizzo (University of East Anglia, UK).
The organisers would like to thank everybody who attended/presented/discussed papers for making this such a successful and interesting conference. There was a variety of excellent theoretical and empirical papers, covering a wide range of topics and methodologies relating to fairness, trust and emotions in finance: see this link for the papers:
Behavioural Finance Working Group Conference Programme
A keynote speech on trust in the financial markets was given by Professor Robert Olsen, Institute of Behavioral Finance, US. His presentation emphasised the importance of restoring trust following the financial crisis.
A closing address was given by Professor Daniel Zizzo, University of East Anglia. His presentation emphasised the need to further develop our understanding of the effects of fairness, trust, emotions, and reciprocal behaviour on financial markets and decision-making.
