Cass Professor claims restructuring bank bonuses increases risk
Chris Roebuck defends current remuneration strategy in new Cass Talks interview
Wednesday, 18 November, 2009
Chris Roebuck, Honorary Visiting Professor and MBA alumnus at Cass, defends the current structure for bank bonuses saying increases in base pay and subsequent reductions in bonuses will only increase the risk to banks.
Professor Roebuck explains why any changes to bank bonuses will not decrease risks for banks in a new interview for Cass Talks. Cass Talks is a series of free video and audio interviews uploaded weekly each Wednesday, presented by BBC Business Reporter and current Cass EMBA student, Alex Ritson.
The interviews are an opportunity to hear Cass faculty give their perspective on current business and finance news stories, global issues affecting the business world and new research coming out of the School.
