Peter Cullum
(MBA 1976) Peter Cullum is founder and executive chairman of Towergate Partnership, Europe’s largest independently owned insurance intermediary. He was voted the 2008 'UK Entrepreneur of the Year' by Management Today, the 2006 M&A Magazine 'Deal Maker of the Year' and the overall winner of the ‘Ernst & Young UK Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2005. In 2008, he committed £10 million to the School to establish the Peter Cullum Centre for Entrepreneurship.
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou
(MSc Shipping, Trade & Finance 1988) Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou is founder and chairman of easyGroup. He is a serial entrepreneur and has established more than 17 ventures. The first was Stelmar Shipping, which he founded when he was 25. He received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II for services to entrepreneurship in November 2006.
Robert P. Kelly
(EMBA 1986) Robert P. Kelly is chief executive officer of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. He served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Mellon Financial Corporation from February 2006 until its merger with The Bank of New York Company, Inc. He was named a top 10 bank CEO in 2006 and 2007 by U.S. Banker magazine. Mr Kelly was previously chief financial officer at Wachovia.
Muhtar Kent
(MBA 1977) Muhtar Kent will become the new chief executive officer of The Coca-Cola Company on 1 July 2008. He is currently president and chief operating officer and has spent 20 of the last 30 years with the company, having joined in 1978.
Tae-Shin Kwon
(EMBA 2001) Tae-Shin Kwon is South Korea’s ambassador in the permanent delegation to the Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD). Prior to this he was vice minister at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE).
Liu Mingkang
(MBA 1988) Liu Mingkang is chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission and a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee. He has been chairman and president of the Bank of China, deputy governor of Fujian Province in China, and a member of the Macao SAR Preparatory Committee.
Carol Sergeant
(MBA 1979) Carol Sergeant is chief risk director at Lloyd’s TSB Group plc. She was previously managing director, Regulatory Process and Risks Directorate for the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and before that head of major UK banks supervision at the Bank of England.
Mark Struckett
(EMBA 1988) Mark Struckett is group chief executive of global real estate adviser DTZ Holdings plc. He joined the company in 1979 (it was then called Debenham Tewson & Chinnocks) and took up his current position in 1995.
Martin Wheatley
(MBA 1991) Martin Wheatley is chief executive officer of the Securities & Futures Commission in Hong Kong. He was previously chairman of the commission. Before that he spent 18 years at the London Stock Exchange, his last position being deputy chief executive.
