The John A Hadjipateras Scholarship

John A Hadjipateras was a leading figure in international shipping who led Greek shipping as President of the Greek Shipping Co-operation Committee in London from 1983 to his death in 1999. In his honour, the Seatrade Organisation and Mr and Mrs T Vokos have established an annual scholarship of £11,000. The scholarship is open to all candidates with a first-class honours degree or equivalent in arts or sciences.

Fondazione Pietro Barbaro Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to an Italian national studying the MSc in Shipping, Trade & Finance. Candidates must have a 1st class Bachelors degree or equivalent. One scholarship in the amount of £10,000 is awarded each year.

The Baltic Exchange Bursaries

The Baltic Exchange, the world's oldest and premier shipping market, provides a total amount for bursaries of £6,000 each year. The bursaries may be shared between two or more students.

The Astron-MMX Scholarship

In memory of her father, Michael M Xylas (known as MMX to the City of London), founder of the Astron/Faros Companies, Mrs Matti Egon-Xylas has established an annual scholarship of £10,000. The scholarship is open to an arts or science graduate of Greek origin (with a first-class honours degree or equivalent) of moderate means who wishes to extend his/her studies in shipping, trade and finance. This scholarship may be shared by more than one student. Astron Maritime Co SA is a Piraeus-based ship management company and is represented in London by the Faros Companies, members of The Baltic Exchange since 1948.

Moore Stephens Prize

Moore Stephens Company, London donates an annual award of £500 for the group of students who attain the highest grade in the Business Plan, which is part of the International Commodity Trade module.

Tufton Oceanic Prize

Tufton Oceanic, London has donated an award of £1,000 for the best business research project in any of the areas of shipping finance, shipping economics and seaborne trade.

Channoil Consulting Prize

Channoil Consulting (London) offers a prize of £500 each year to the student with the best dissertation on any aspect of the oil and energy industry.
